No reported data available

Although Puget Sound has experienced relatively few major oil spills over the past several decades, a major oil spill is inherently a low-probability, high-impact risk to Puget Sound's valuable natural, cultural, and economic resources. However, all oil spills cause environmental damage, regardless of size.

This Progress Indicator tracks the cumulative volume of oil spilled from both regulated (e.g., cargo vessel, tank vessel, etc.) and non-regulated (e.g., recreational boats, etc.) sources to assess how well the region is doing at preventing accidental oil spills in Puget Sound.

This Progress Indicator is in development.
